Our Story
Access Answering Service was founded by Marina Rowell, a former business broker in San Francisco, in 1990 when she purchased Intercity Answering Service located on Fourth Street in Downtown San Rafael. Given Marina’s background in mergers and acquisitions, Marina’s primary method of growing the business was by purchasing other answering services. In 1994, Marina moved the Access headquarters to Vacaville, notably one of the safest cities in the United States. Twenty two years later, Access is still serving many happy clients from their Vacaville location.
In 2011, Mariska, Marina’s daughter, joined Marina in the business. Since joining the Access team, Mariska has focused on business development as well as enhancing various aspects of the business, such as adding the call handling strategy session for each new client, and the installation of brand new equipment at the end of 2015.
